Privacy statement

Purpose:  The Friends of the Royal College of Music Junior Department is an independent charity and is UK registered charity No 278116.  The Friends processes personal data of it’s members.  This privacy statement is intended for members of the Friends or those who would like to become a Friend.

Where did your data come from?  The Friends of the Royal College of Music Junior Department will use the information you provide in your on-line application or registration form.

Why do we need your data?  To manage the membership application process and communications to our members to encourage participation in activities run by the Friends to raise funds for the Royal College of Music Junior Department.

What data do we collect?  We collect, store and use the following kinds of personal information:

  • your name
  • your contact details (including mobile telephone number, e-mail address and/or social media identity)
  • your bank or credit card details where you provide these to make a donation

What do we do with your data?  We store your data on secure administrative systems all of which are password protected and access restricted to the Friends membership secretary.  We will use your data to manage your membership and to communicate with you information about relevant events, updates and news about the Friends where you have given the necessary permission on your application or registration form.

The Friends of the Royal College of Music Junior Department does not use any automated processes to make decisions about individuals.
